Colby Christensen joined TIE as an Educational Specialist in August 2007. He earned his bachelor's degree in English & German from Montana State University (Bozeman) in 1995, and completed his master's degree in Sport Administration at the University of Northern Colorado (Greeley) in 2003. He spent seven years teaching (English and math) and coaching (cross country, basketball, and track) in Montana and Colorado. Additionally, he served as the coordinator of GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) for three years in the Greeley, Colorado school district. As a Black Hills native and a Rapid City Central graduate, Colby is thrilled to be home and looks forward to collaborating with educators, administrators, and other professionals throughout South Dakota!
